Laystall manufacture welded construction hydraulic cylinders in bore sizes from 20 mm to 250 mm up to a maximum stroke of 6000mm for single stage cylinders with longer lengths available for multistage. Bore sizes up to 350 mm may be provided for shorter lengths. Pressure testing to 400 bar is available. Quantities supplied range from small batches to volume production.

Laystall Engineering is a privately owned company based in Wolverhampton, England. The Company was originally formed in 1903 and has been manufacturing hydraulic cylinders since 1963.

The company was founded in 1903 by Mr. F.T. Bersey. The original premises consisted of a small workshop in Laystall Street, Holborn, London. Laystall Motor Engineering Works was incorporated as a limited company on 1st November 1906. The business was described as Automotive Repairers and Engineers and it was the holder of the “All Repairs” certificate from the RAC. Even in those early days the services offered included vehicle overhaul with cylinder and crankshaft grinding, replacement gears, bearings and pistons, together with welding facilities.
